Are you a name or a brand?
🍬 April 12th is National Licorice Day in the US. Do you like licorice? Which licorice do you like? Only because of the taste or also because of the brand?
Some say that a brand is just another product in the market that sells more than most of the other products. I disagree. A brand is more than that.
🏷 A brand is when you market an outstanding product by mixing your story, packaging including name and logo, pricing, and the product's quality.
Branding is a strategic process, taking time and requiring perseverance. But every brand has started as just another product in the market.
📈 You know, or find out, why customers prefer your product to others’, and that's where you must start being strategic about scaling production and marketing and further building your story.
Lakrids by Bülow® is a good example of how to build a brand within licorice. Johan Bülow and his colleagues have built the brand using all the ingredients making their licorice a very likable brand.
💡 Among the ingredients is intellectual property, that is, trademarks, design, copyright and possibly patents being their property, stuff to add to a brand when marketing and selling your product.
Lakrids by Bülow® is from Denmark (lakrids is licorice in Danish), started by Johan and his fiancée making their first licorice in a small kitchen on the island Bornholm. From thereon, the rest is a great story.
😋 Have a licoricious day
